About Us
Little Rhody Rescue is a non-profit organization that strives to find safe homes for underprivileged and neglected dogs. Some of the dogs that have come through the doors of Little Rhody Rescue have been fostered by low income families in Tennessee and other have been neglected and mistreated by owners from everywhere. In the 12 years since Little Rhody Rescue has opened its doors, Kate has placed nearly 8,000 dogs in safe, loving homes.
Meet Kate
Kate Dubuque is the owner and sole operator of Little Rhody Rescue. Kate operates the facility out of her home in the Harmony, Rhode Island area. Kate, a former animal control officer was forced to retire after suffering a serious back injury while on the job. Throughout her pain, her love for dogs never waivered and in fact grew stronger than ever. Kate has devoted her life, time, and finances to give back to man's best friend who sometimes gets left in the dark. Kate is unable to take sick days because she has no volunteers to help her organize and care for her dogs. The best way to help Kate to continue her amazing work is to make any contribution possible.

Little Rhody Rescue has recently experience financial issues due to the parvovirus. The parvovirus is a virus that only affects dogs and comes with lofty veterinarian bills. Fortunately for Little Rhody Rescue, all of the dogs are completely healthy and free of the parvovirus. Unfortunately though for Little Rhody Rescue and Kate, both Kate and her non-profit have taken a hit financially because of the hospital bills.
